Omni Structures Turn-Key Case Study: Connecting Rods Fixture

For the most part connecting rods are all similar; the main changes are to the length between the bores and bore diameters. This fixture takes advantage of that commonality. With a few simple changes the fixture adapts to the sizes and meets the requirements.

The “zero” location is the OD of the small end, the sliding Platform provides a centering alignment in the ID of the big end of the rod, this is also one part of the clamping.

The fixtures can be used independently or joined on Platform Extenders.
